A blind man is brought to Christ by his friends, the blind man looked up and said, "I see men as trees, walking" (Mark 8:24, KJV). There are many thoughts, questions, suspicions, perceptions, interpretations, and opinions surrounding this incident. Many have asked, did the blind man really see men as trees? Was he still partially blind? Perhaps it was written to provide a symbolic gesture of sorts? Was his sight not fully restored, that he might strengthen his faith? Was it an imperfect miracle; is there such a thing as an incomplete miracle? Or was he seeing something deeper?
